All of our Halloween festivities took place this past weekend. It was a jammed packed Saturday! We started out with our wards Trunk or Treat. Micah decorated our trunk with cobwebs, skeletons, and spiders. It looked awesome! We dressed up as Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Kryptonite. Clara is still too small too fit into any of the costumes we found and I didn't plan enough to make one. With that said we dressed her up in green and found some green glow sticks to put on her car seat and she was Superman's (Daddy's) weakness. I thought it worked. Everyone loved Micah's outfit and he looked pretty close to the real thing.
We then trotted over to our friends Halloween party. Every year they have a fun party to enjoy their large halloween decoration collection. We made pumpkins and ghosts for our scary snack, although the bananas were a bit difficult to eat that way (in my opinion).
There were also crafts to work on, a scavenger hunt through their house and a coffin decorating contest. Micah decorated our coffin and he did an AMAZING job. The skeletons are suppose to be us and Micah even handmade a fedora for his skeleton. We ended up winning the contest and Micah felt pretty good about his creation.
All of our Halloween fun is basically over. Now just some fun trick or treaters and maybe a Halloween movie or two. We can't wait when Clara is big enough to take around and teach her how to say "trick-or-treat". Happy Halloween everyone!
