"Up to the Highest Heights"

Rexburg is cold and windy, but when the cold leaves we try and make the best of the wind. Micah had the great idea to go kite flying, and we had fun. Micah is an expert kite flier. He was able to get his kite soaring to new heights. I need a little more practice. My kite would fly a few feet and then plummet to the ground. A little kid was so impressed with Micah's kite flying skills that he asked to join in the fun. Even he was able to get the kite to soar while I was still struggling. Micah made the kid do all sorts of tricks such as spins, loops, and sporadic movements. All in all we had a fun day talking, laughing, flying kites, and getting some sun (I have a sunburn to prove it). I love Spring weather. Also thank you Beth for the wonderful kites.

Micah's kite flying high, really high

Notice that the thread is all the way out

This is how high mine would go

How fun! It's so nice to see the sun, isn't it. Keep trying, you'll make that kite fly someday! Maybe we'll have to practice in the grand canyon. Now wouldn't that be cool, if it's legal? We'd probably have to add string to Micah's kite for that one.
