September 5th we reached our one year mark. I wanted to really celebrate our one year anniversary and made it a requirement I would go anywhere but somewhere in Idaho. Micah did a great job planning and we decided to go off to St. George.

We went to Tuacahn to watch the play Tarzan. The play was really fun and it was Micah's first time. He thought it was amazing that the stage includes the red cliffs in the background. Also at the beginning of the play when the ship wreck takes place, they flooded the river which flooded onto the stage. Water covered the stage. Also the actress that played Jane matched exactly Jane in the movie. It was phenomenal and I can't even image what it would be like on Broadway. Micah was sure to leave with a souvenir that was a bright green Tarzan shirt of course.

Saturday we spent the day at the outlet stores and found the most amazing deal at Van Huesen. 50% off almost everything and on somethings an additional 15% and 10% off. Sunday we attended sacrament meeting and Micah ran into some old friends from Oregon. It is a small world after all. We then went across the street to the St. George Temple. It was beautiful! We learned that it was built of the red brick found all through St. George but then white plaster was put on top. It was beautiful to see how white it was especially against the Red cliffs.

After the temple we drove to Cedar City where we would stay the night Amid Summers Inn. We checked in and looked over our Romeo and Juliet room (the theme of the anniversary) and then headed out to Milt's for dinner. We drove up the canyon and enjoyed a delicious meal of seafood and steak. Further up the canyon went to see Cedar Breaks. It was a beautiful view! It was a little bit chilly though because we were so high up. At the top there was a fence post and we carved our initials. We probably shouldn't have but it was a cute idea and hopefully we will see it there when we return later.

Amid Summers Inn was a cute little place to stay. The room was so fun and in the morning we met in the dining room to enjoy their delicious breakfast. I had the best pancake I have ever tasted in my life there. It was so yummy!!!

Micah made our anniversary a wonderful day. With the theme being Romeo and Juliet Micah found an Italian carving of Romeo and Juliet that was beautiful. Also there was a small beautiful frame with a picture of the two of us. Also Micah had created a card that contained a picture of Juliet's balcony and photoshopped me at the blacony. Micah also found a music box that plays our song which we would later add to the base of the statue.

We drove to Salt Lake City on Monday and shopped at the gateway. We had a lot of fun because there were labor day sales. Having our wedding over labor day weekend was a brilliant idea :) Also we went to eat at Settebello. It is an Intalian pizzeria and Micah states it is the closest thing to real Italian pizza. The two owners served in Italy and learned how to make Italian Pizza and gelato and started up the restaurant. It was divine and the gelato is delicious!!! We have decided we will be returning back often.

On Tuesday we drove to Lava Hot springs to enjoy their natural hot springs. I loved the hot pools and it felt so good on my muscles. Micah isn't such a big fan of the hot water but still had a good time. I want to go back every semester. We then stopped in Idaho Falls and enjoyed the movie Inception. Which was a great movie and an interesting idea but we were a little confused on a couple of things and will need to watch it again. We are now back home and have started another semester.
