Hogsmeade Butterbeer Recipe

Hey everyone, it's Micah. Many of you have asked for my recipe for homemade butterbeer, and I've been waiting to post it until my recipe was perfected. We had a batch using this recipe and it was amazing. Hope you like it.

Hogsmeade Butterbeer

What you'll need:

-1/3 cup brown sugar
-1/4 cup real butter
-Some salt
-Heavy cream
-Pure Vanilla extract
-Rum extract

-Mix 1/3 cup brown sugar with 1 1/2 tbsp water in a saucepan at middle heat. Stir continuously.

-After the brown sugar is fully dissolved in the water, add 1/4 cup real butter.

-Turn off heat. While the butter is melting, add two pinches of salt. Stir so the butter melts faster.

-After the butter is completely melted, add 2 tbsp heavy cream. Stir.

-After the heavy cream is dissolved, move the saucepan to a cool stovetop and let it sit.

-In a cold bowl, pour about a 1/2 cup heavy cream and use an egg beater (use whisk component) to whip the cream.

-After whipping the cream, add 1 tsp pure vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp of rum extract to the saucepan. Stir.

-Pour equal amounts of the syrup from the saucepan into two beer mugs (or whatever).

-Heat some water on the stove as you would for hot chocolate, and add to the mugs. Stir.

-Add 2-4 tbsp of whipped cream to the drinks. Stir the cream in until you get a nice film of foam at the top.

-Take a trip to Hogsmeade, and enjoy.
