Christmas Vacation

After all the stress and planning, our trip finally came. Clara was a champ on the airplane and slept most of the time. That was one worry gone. We were very excited to see everyone and had a fun-filled two weeks. At the beginning of the trip Micah headed to Boise to see his sister graduate and watch his nephew's baptism. Clara and I stayed with my family and we met up in Logan a few days later. 

We spent Christmas with Micah's side of the family. We watched movies, played games, played in the snow and had fun shopping. Clara had a fantastic first Christmas! She received her first Christmas pajamas and was excited to receive a white noise machine from Santa. She also loved all the other fun gifts she received: books, stuffed animals, and clothes.

The next stop was with my side of the family. We enjoyed Christmas night at my grandparents and we enjoyed seeing my extended family. We had the chance to attend the sealing for our good friends and their baby boy. It was such a neat thing to be a part of and we love them. The rest of the week we found time to watch movies, play games, visit the Hogle Zoo for zoo lights, eat delicious pizza and gelato at Settebello and get sick. Sadly the last day we were there both Clara and I got colds and we didn't feel up to doing much. We also tried to get pictures of Clara with as many family members as we could but she looks out of it in some of them because she wasn't feeling well.

The trip was a chance for Clara to experience the cold and I don't think she is a fan. We would bundle her up which would put her to sleep, but then we would go outside and the cold air was hard to breath in. It was pretty funny to hear her breathing change whenever we went out in the freezing cold. We traveled back home and Clara was great again. We miss everyone and wish we could have packed everyone home with us. We are glad to be back to a schedule and can relax and try to get better.
