When ever the 4th of July rolls around we miss family like crazy! Micah's family has a lot of traditions for the 4th and it feels weird not to do very much. This year we decided to plan something fun. We had our friends come over to swim and have a BBQ. We had a great time and Clara loved having her friend Emma in the pool with her. After we were all tired, full and sunburnt, we headed back to the apartment to watch the World Cup soccer match. We then joined some more friends at a park near by and enjoyed some yummy desserts. We waited around for the fireworks but it began to rain. The nice thing here is, yes it's raining, but it actually feels good. However, Clara and I huddled under the canopy to stay dry. With the cooling rain came themosquitoes. Needless to say we were excited when the firework show started. Clara loved the fireworks and was actually cuddly (this is very rare). Micah and I ate up all the cuddling while Clara took in the amazing fireworks. We had an awesome holiday but hopefully we will recover from the sunburns and mosqitoe bites.
