Washington D.C. - Day 1

Our trip to Washington D.C. was very fun, but it was also an eye opener for us. We arrived in Washington D.C. and didn't really know how to us the metro. Luckily we asked a bell boy who directed us to the metro. We figured out how to by a farecard and made it safely to our Hotel in Vienna, Virginia.
The next morning we started our adventure of D.C. We hopped on the metro and found out there was scheduled maintenance which would threw off our plans a little bit. We started by visiting Air and Space Museum. We saw Amelia Earhart's plane, the first plane by the Wright Brothers, and Glenn's spacesuit. Then we were planning to visit the National Archives but the line was quite long and decided to see that another time. We moved on the Museum of Natural History which I was excited about. We saw lions and tigers and bears. We saw T-Rex, who I like to call "Dum-Dum", and the Hope diamond. After that we went to the Museum of American History. We saw the flag that hung at Fort McHenry when the Start Spangled Banner was written, and that was an amazing experience. We also walked through the exhibit for the price of Freedom. We weren't able to see everything before it closed and decided we would come back another day.
Our feet were hurting or at least my were and it was getting cold so we decided to head back to the hotel and relax.
