The Month of April

April has been an eventful and fun month. We started off with General Conference. Clara was pretty good most of the time - only occasional squeals. She loved Elder Uchtdorf and would smile and giggle whenever he stood up to speak. 

Turnaround at Micah's work began. Turnaround is when the plant has to complete maintenance and they shut down that particular unit. The Safety Team is put on 12 hour shifts. Micah picked the short straw and was working from 6 pm to 6 am. He also caught a cold of some sort and was not feeling well. Luckily they finished earlier then expected so Micah could recuperate and get back on a normal sleeping schedule, and Clara and I could be nosy again during the day.

We celebrated Easter! It is a lot more fun celebrating holidays now that we have a little one to enjoy them, even if she doesn't quite get it. The Easter Bunny brought Clara some books (she only has a few and we were getting tired of reading them over and over again) and stuffed animals to match, as well as a wind up chick (She loves trying to catch these things) and a new blanket from Oma.

We celebrated Micah's Birthday!!! The past two years we were either stuck in a hotel looking for an apartment for our internship or Micah was working Turnarounds and we couldn't really celebrate on his birthday. This year was open and we had some fun. Micah was able to get off work early and we picked up some Buffalo Wild Wings (one if Micah's favorites). Then he opened his gifts and we had some friends over for cake and ice cream. It is hard to pick a dessert for Micah's birthday because cake, chocolate, pie, and ice cream cake are all out. This year we made a small "cake" out of Hostess donuts. Then I decorated a small cake for everyone else to have. Micah didn't want anything big but it was fun to chat with friends and relax. 

Micah has been part of a singing group called Consono which was started by a friend in our ward. They do a couple of concerts throughout the area and they sound really good. It was fun to see Micah perform. I think he is the best looking guy up there!

Now onto May and the fun it will bring!
