12 Months

(Sorry this took me forever to finish but better late than never right.)

We made it a whole year! The big day is here and I'm shocked it came this fast. My little girl can't be one already!?!? You sure aren't a little newborn anymore. You are a beautiful little girl and are so independent and happy. You have grown leaps and bounds and it is amazing you have learned it all in one month. 

- You have started walking. You took your first steps while we were visiting family and you keep getting more confident everyday. 

- You are clapping now and love to have us join in when you accomplish something new.

- You have learned how to play peek-a-boo and get a kick out of it, especially when you are the one hiding your face

- You have discovered how to stack the rings on your toy and always give a big smile of pride.

- You know how to dance now and love when we join in, even if it is just bouncing up and down.

- You know the sign for please and are starting to use it more when you want to have certain things or have more of a certain food.

- You LOVE goldfish for a snack! Once you tried the extra cheddar ones you never went back. We have to hide them in the pantry because if you see them you make a sound that sounds like fish and sign please. 

- You also love cheese! We can't let you see the cheese until the end of your meal or that is all you will want.

- You can say please, thank you, fish, cheese, and juice (at least sounds that are close to those words)

- We are still working on saying MaMa and up but that will come in time.

- You can wave hello and goodbye but sometimes you wave after they have shut the door :-) We'll work on that. 

- You are fond of your stuffed teddy bear and dog and love to have them to fall asleep with.

- You have your first tooth coming in on the top and teething has been a little more painful this time. 

- You love your Dad and are daddy's little girl. Every morning when Dad walks in the room you give him a loud, happy "Dad"

- You love bubbles! And get very excited to have them floating in the air. You haven't discovered that they are fun to pop yet but you like watching the other kids.

- You are a very content to just be off and play by yourself especially if there is a pile of books around.

- You also know what you want and can be a little stubborn about it. Even though I drives me crazy sometimes, I like that you have that passion for what you want. 

Even though time has flown by it has been the best year to see your skills and personality develop. You are a strong, happy and beautiful little girl. You truly make every day brighter. We love you!
