The Longest Drive

We decided to stay in Louisville for the night and Micah was excited because he wanted to get a genuine Louisville slugger bat. He found out there was a museum close by and we left the hotel a little early so that we could go and get a tour. There was a huge bat in front which is a replica of Babe Ruth's old bat. Inside we took a tour of how the bats are made and we saw some bats being made for the Spring training coming up. It was really interesting. We also toured the museum and saw Babe Ruth's bat. Micah also go to hold Mickey Mantel's bat which now is worth 16000 dollars. He also bought a genuine Louisville slugger bat with his signature and the Red Sox's logo.

Babe Ruth put a notch next to the logo for every home run

After that we left for the long drive all the way to Virginia. We watched the Office most of the way. When we got to West Virginia we knew we were close.

We then passed into Virginia and we were so excited that we had made it. We also passed by Celanese where Micah will be working. It was great to see how big the plant was. The area is beautiful and our land owners are fantastic. We can't wait to get all settled in and get to know the area. Micah starts work on Monday. Wish him luck!
